About The Position

This is a part-time House Manager & Family Assistant role requiring 24-30 hours per week, with a guaranteed 24 hours. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with potential for additional weekend hours for hosting support, sports coverage, or date nights. The role involves significant childcare, meal preparation, and household organization for an active family with three children. The family hosts frequently and seeks someone who can integrate seamlessly with existing service providers like cleaners and landscapers, ensuring the household runs smoothly. The ideal candidate is positive, organized, independent, and brings a kind, helpful spirit to the home.

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation required (mileage reimbursed for work-related driving).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Maintain a smoke-free environment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain.
  • Comfort around water (waterfront property with a pool).
  • Ability to navigate multiple flights of stairs.

Nice To Haves

  • Weekend availability for additional hours is a plus for occasional hosting support, sports coverage, or date nights.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare 3-4 dinners per week, accommodating dietary preferences.
  • Collaborate on meal planning and grocery shopping.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization.
  • Perform daily home resets, including light tidying, dishwashing, and trash removal.
  • Prepare the home for bi-weekly cleaning services.
  • Coordinate seasonal clothing swaps for children.
  • Assist with event, holiday, and guest preparation for hosting.
  • Proactively handle small home maintenance tasks.
  • Perform interior cleaning of family vehicles.
  • Manage household laundry, including washing, folding, organizing, and linen rotation.
  • Coordinate dry cleaning as needed.
  • Provide child pickups and drop-offs.
  • Offer supervision and backup childcare support.
  • Support children's daily chores and responsibilities.
  • Manage existing vendor relationships (e.g., landscapers).
  • Collaborate with the cleaning crew.
  • Oversee boat-related contractor visits and ensure work completion.
  • Skim and vacuum the pool as needed (spot cleaning only).
  • Assist with seasonal property maintenance.
  • Manage household supply and grocery lists.
  • Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies.
  • Oversee and manage subscriptions and recurring orders.
  • Handle returns, gift shopping, and other miscellaneous errands.
  • Manage incoming mail and packages.
  • Maintain awareness of and plan around the family calendar.
  • Coordinate events and appointments for the family.
  • Track receipts and spending for work-related expenses.
  • Manage administrative tasks for family vehicles.
  • Potentially assist with travel planning and logistics.
  • Perform occasional deep cleaning tasks.
  • Support children in maintaining and tidying 'drop zones'.
  • Clean humidifiers and air purifiers.
  • Manage organizational projects and suggest improvements.
