About The Position

We are a warm and active family of five based in Raleigh, NC, seeking a dedicated House Manager & Family Assistant to be the backbone of our home and keep our daily lives running smoothly. Our home is full of energy with three school-aged kids (ages 13, 11 and 7) and a small but spirited dog. With one parent working from home and the other frequently on the road for a demanding career, we often operate with one parent steering the ship. We love spending time together as a family, but we are definitely busy! Between school or camp, afternoon activities and sports, there's never a dull moment for us. We have come to embrace the natural ebb and flow of life, and pride ourselves on maintaining a go-with-the-flow mindset. In our home, plans shift, schedules change, and life moves fast, and we are looking for someone who fits naturally and comfortably into that rhythm. We have been incredibly fortunate to have fantastic household support over the years, and we value a collaborative team dynamic. We have built wonderful, lasting relationships with people who are proactive, adaptable, and genuinely invested in what they do. We'd love to find someone who shares that flexible, positive outlook to join us! This role requires flexibility, calmness under pressure, organization, and a project manager mentality. You will see tasks through from start to finish, are highly adaptable, and thrive working independently while also enjoying being a collaborative part of a family team. You are detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and proactive. You are comfortable routinely driving and transporting children, but do not mind stepping in for direct childcare (including overnights) if needed. You enjoy meal-prepping, organizational projects, and thrive in a role where every day brings something new. You take direction well and can also operate with autonomy. You bring a steady, professional presence that helps the household feel more grounded, even on the busiest days. You understand how to hold a household calendar, communicate proactively, and adapt your priorities as the week shifts. You are not someone who is rattled by change — you are someone who helps manage it. While direct house management experience is preferred, transferable skills are also welcome.
