About The Position

Located in Santa Barbara on a spacious, multi-acre property, we're a dynamic household with two full-time working parents (one works from home with regular travel, and the other works in-office) and a lively, easygoing six-year-old. We all enjoy and thrive on spending time outdoors, bike riding, camping, and staying active as a family. Our home has a relaxed, open atmosphere where we balance our demanding work schedules and our son’s full school days with juggling quality family time. We deeply appreciate nature and connecting with each other, and highly value swapping screen time for outdoor adventures, especially on our property. While we value having successful careers and livelihoods, our ultimate goal is to be present parents, be healthy, and also have time and space for our well-being. While we can manage the day-to-day and are hands-on, we are seeking more support to ease the mental and physical load of our household and second property. With our bustling schedules and work-related travel, we're looking for someone proactive, highly organized, open-minded, and inclusive who can help us reclaim personal time, keep our household and additional nearby property running smoothly, and support our son in growing, learning, and enjoying life while we manage our work commitments and prioritize our well-being and quality, relaxed time together. You're calm, organized, and a positive, upbeat person who naturally takes initiative. You're adaptable, are highly attuned to the emotions of others, and can read the room, especially when it comes to young children—you know when to encourage outdoor play and when it’s time to dial back the energy and rest and recharge. You have experience in and a passion for managing multiple properties, including multi-acre households, coordinating family calendars, caring for young children, cooking/meal prep, and ensuring household systems are in place that keep the home running seamlessly. You're self-managed, anticipate needs before being asked, have excellent time management skills, and take genuine ownership of your responsibilities. Our ideal fit is highly proactive, organized, open-minded, tolerant, and mindful of supporting our parenting philosophies. You maintain professional boundaries, communicate clearly, are tech savvy, easily prioritize what needs to get done, and can balance competing priorities seamlessly. You genuinely love working with families, can step in during busy times and schedule/travel shifts, and feel comfortable in a private family home environment that values a healthy, highly active lifestyle.
