About The Position

The Hotel Housekeeping Room Attendant helps maintain clean, comfortable guest rooms and assigned areas, contributing to guests’ positive experiences. The role involves engaging with guests, working with the housekeeping team, and following cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and service standards. The position is available part-time or full-time. Housekeepers may have opportunities to advance to supervisory or management roles, including Housekeeping Supervisor, Housekeeping Manager, or Executive Housekeeper.

Requirements

Housekeeping experience is desirable.
Neat appearance and a pleasant personality.
Time management skills.
Ability to work on feet for an extended period.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.
Ability to move, traverse, and position oneself to reach floor corners and high places; observe conditions and detect odors; and position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces.
Ability to operate spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters.
Ability to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well.
Work as a team to achieve resort or hotel cleanliness.
Keep the work cart orderly and properly stocked.
Use equipment, supplies, and guest amenities properly.
Thoroughly clean and sanitize assigned guest areas.
Change and inspect linens and towels daily, following the standards in the Green Program.
Follow safety standards, watch for hazards, and report hazards or suspicious persons when found.
Respect guests’ property.
Take responsible care of equipment.
Arrive on time according to the posted schedule, maintain accurate time records, and follow proper standards for issuing rooms.
Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and coworkers.
Perform other related duties as requested by the Floor Supervisor.
