About The Position

The Hotel Guest Room Attendant provides guests and team members with clean hotel rooms and helps create a welcoming, comfortable, and memorable guest experience. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms, replenishing amenities and supplies, and maintaining a safe work area and orderly equipment. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at Sycuan Management’s discretion.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of housekeeping and/or custodial experience.
• Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and chemical safety.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to interact effectively with team members and guests.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time.
• Ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as making beds and vacuuming.
• Ability to reach, push, pull, kneel, and bend.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure.
• Ability to appear for work on time.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Hotel, resort, or casino housekeeping experience.
• Multilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Gather and inspect linens for quality and cleanliness; make beds; clean bathrooms; vacuum, dust, and polish room furnishings; sweep balconies; wipe outdoor furnishings; and replenish towels, soap, hotel amenities, and supplies according to established procedures.
• Keep the work cart orderly and supplied, and ensure equipment is in good working order before and after use.
• Visually inspect rooms for frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, broken glass, or suspicious persons, and report findings to appropriate personnel.
• Restock room attendant carts at the end of the shift according to established procedures.
