About The Position

Provides guests and team members with clean hotel rooms. The Hotel Guest Room Attendant cleans and sanitizes guest rooms, replenishes supplies, and helps maintain a safe work area. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of housekeeping and/or custodial experience.
• Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and chemical safety.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and interact effectively with team members and guests.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time.
• Ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as making beds and vacuuming.
• Ability to reach, push, pull, kneel, and bend.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure.
• Ability to appear for work on time.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Hotel, resort, or casino housekeeping experience.
• Multilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Gather and inspect linens for quality and cleanliness; make beds; clean bathrooms; vacuum, dust, and polish furnishings; sweep balconies; wipe outdoor furnishings; and replenish towels, soap, hotel amenities, and supplies according to established procedures.
• Keep the work cart orderly and supplied, ensure equipment is in good working order before and after use, and visually inspect rooms for frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, broken glass, or suspicious persons.
• Report room or safety findings to the appropriate personnel.
• Restock room attendant carts at the end of the shift according to established procedures.
