About The Position

The Hotel Housekeeping Room Attendant helps maintain clean, sanitary guest rooms and areas, supporting a comfortable stay and memorable guest experience. The role includes working with the housekeeping team to meet hotel cleanliness goals, caring for equipment and supplies, following safety practices, and providing courteous service to guests and coworkers. Housekeeping experience is desirable, and the position offers the possibility of career growth into supervisory or management roles.

Requirements

Housekeeping experience is desirable.
Neat appearance and pleasant personality.
Time management skills.
Ability to work on feet for an extended period.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.
Ability to move, traverse, and position oneself to reach floor corners and high places; observe conditions and detect odors; and position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 pounds in tight spaces.
Ability to operate spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters.
Ability to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well.
Work as a team to accomplish resort and hotel cleanliness goals.
Keep the work cart orderly and properly stocked.
Use equipment, supplies, and guest amenities properly.
Thoroughly clean and sanitize assigned guest areas.
Change and inspect linens and towels daily, following the standards in the Green Program.
Practice safety standards, watch for hazards, and report them when found.
Respect guests’ property.
Care responsibly for equipment.
Report to work on time and according to the posted schedule, maintain accurate time records, and follow proper room-issuance standards.
Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and coworkers.
Perform other related duties as requested by the Floor Supervisor.
