Hotel Housekeeper (Weekends Required)
About The Position
DelMonte Hotel Group is seeking an experienced and driven Hotel Housekeeper to help ensure a positive guest and colleague experience. The role is responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned guest rooms, meeting cleanliness standards while providing pleasant and professional service to guests. Housekeepers may also clean shared hotel areas and complete deep cleaning or additional housekeeping service as needed. The position requires a self-motivated person with a strong work ethic, organizational skills, and the ability to manage time and priorities. The posting specifies that weekends are required. Compensation is $16.00–$16.25 per hour. Requirements
- Up to 1 month of related housekeeping experience or training.
- Solid organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
- Self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and a drive to exceed expectations.
- Availability to work weekends.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized supply cart.
- Sort, count, fold, mark, or carry linens.
- Change linen and make beds.
- Sweep, scrub, and mop floors.
- Dust furniture and fixtures.
- Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
- Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
- Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Move furniture, hang and remove drapes, and roll carpets as needed.
- Replenish guest room supplies, including drinking glasses, bathroom amenities, and writing supplies.
- Tag lost and found articles and turn them in to management.
- Inspect rooms for maintenance needs and check fixtures, equipment, and room conditions for proper operation, settings, and maintenance; report deficiencies.
- Clean lobby, lounge, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways as assigned.
- Replace light bulbs as needed.
- Deep clean assigned guest rooms and replenish guest amenities and supplies as needed.
- Complete second housekeeping service for assigned rooms as needed.
- Provide pleasant and professional service to guests while meeting cleanliness standards.
