Hotel Exterior Grounds Custodian
About The Position
The Hotel Exterior Grounds Custodian is responsible for keeping the property’s exterior clean and completing interior project work. Duties include power washing, cleaning and maintaining furniture, high dusting and detailed cleaning of fixtures, cleaning property air vents, and collecting and emptying trash. The position may also assist with valet parking during heavy check-in and check-out periods. The role is based at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center in Westlake, Texas. It is full-time, requires full availability, and pays $19 per hour. The property is a private hotel and conference center managed by Benchmark Hospitality.
Requirements
- One year of experience in a similar hospitality-industry job is preferred.
- Ability to use gas-powered cleaning equipment.
- Valid State of Texas driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities
- Pressure wash patios and other areas.
- Clean, scrub, dust, straighten, and move exterior furniture as needed for floor-surface cleaning.
- Remove cobwebs, bird droppings, bird nests, mud daubers, and similar debris from the building exterior, furniture, fixtures, and window frames.
- Clean exterior and interior lights and fixtures, including some at high levels using extension poles, ladders, or lifts.
- Empty exterior trash and cigarette receptacles.
- Monitor and maintain a trash-free environment in the parking lot, jogging trails, and other outdoor areas.
- Clean and maintain exterior restrooms located outside the main building.
- Maintain recycling areas, including the loading dock, social venue, and other recycling stations.
- Perform simple preventative maintenance tasks on recycling and grounds equipment.
- Complete interior project work, including high dusting, high-fixture detail cleaning, and property air-vent cleaning.
- Assist with valet parking on heavy check-in and check-out days.
