About The Position

The Hotel Club Room Host keeps the hotel lobby breakfast or refreshment area, or concierge room, stocked and clean and orderly. The role includes welcoming guests, replenishing food and beverages, washing dishes, cleaning and organizing the area, and communicating inventory shortages, maintenance issues, and guest complaints to a manager. The host may also assist with cleaning other hotel areas or special cleaning projects as requested. Employees are expected to follow KHC policies and property-specific standards, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled.

Requirements

• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including frequently lifting or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Must follow proper safety precautions at all times to avoid injuries.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet hotel guests and answer their questions and inquiries.
• Put away weekly supply deliveries and rotate stock.
• Restock food and beverage items as guests use them and put away food and supplies at the end of the meal period.
• Wash dishes and food trays.
• Clean microwaves.
• Clear and wipe counters and tables, place centerpieces on tables, and remove salt and pepper shakers.
• Fill coffee pots before leaving.
• Fill the hot water dispenser and electric steamers to prepare for the next day.
• Dispose of trash and wipe down trash cans.
• Break down cardboard boxes and carry them to the trash or recycling receptacle.
• Vacuum and mop the dining area and pantry.
• Organize the pantry.
• Complete the hotel pantry communication log for other shifts and hotel employees to review.
• Communicate inventory shortages, maintenance issues, and guest complaints to a manager.
• Assist with cleaning public restrooms, the pool area, fitness center, main lobby, sleeping rooms, or laundry, and assist with special cleaning projects as requested.
• Follow KHC policies and property-specific guidelines and standards, including dress code, safety, and performance standards.
• Maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.
