About The Position

As a Hostperson at Four Sixes Ranch Steakhouse inside MGM Grand, you will welcome guests, manage seating, and help create memorable dining experiences. You will maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented restaurant and serve as a communication link between guests and the service team. Working with Food Servers, Bus & Runners, and other team members, you will assist with guest requests, table management, and dining room flow to support exceptional service.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of prior relevant experience as a Hostperson in a fine-dining restaurant or similar luxury dining environment.
• Experience with OpenTable or SevenRooms.

Responsibilities

• Communicate special orders, cake orders, and other guest requests to management in coordination with Restaurant Reservations.
• Maintain knowledge of daily activities, in-house groups, house count, table, seat, and station numbers, table setups, room capacity, operating hours, price range, and dress code.
• Promptly greet guests as they enter the restaurant.
• Answer phones, accurately track reservations, and manage the reservation book.
• Ensure menus have current inserts and replace menus that are in poor condition.
• Communicate guest needs to the kitchen and management, share guest reactions and comments with management, and assist management to support smooth operations and quality service.
• Check regularly on guests waiting to be seated and keep them informed while tables are being prepared.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in assigned work areas.
• Shut down the podium and forward phones to voice-loop at the end of the shift.
