About The Position

As a Hostperson for Carbone at Aria, you will create the first impression by welcoming guests with glamour, poise, and professional charm into a theatrical mid-century Italian American dining room. You will help direct the floor, maintain an organized and pristine entrance, and work with captains, servers, bussers, and runners to manage seating and table flow while delivering Aria's hospitality standards.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a Hostperson in a high-volume restaurant.
• Previous fine dining Hostperson experience.
• Previous Maitre D experience.
• Experience with SevenRooms.

Responsibilities

• Communicate special orders, cake orders, and other special requests to Restaurant Reservations and convey the information to management.
• Maintain knowledge of daily activities and in-house groups, house count, table, seat, and station numbers, proper table setups, room capacity, operating hours, price range, and dress code.
• Greet guests promptly as they enter the restaurant.
• Answer phones, keep an accurate reservation count, and manage the reservation book.
• Ensure menus have current inserts and replace menus in poor condition.
• Communicate guest needs to the kitchen and management, report guest reactions and comments to management, and assist management with smooth operations and quality service.
• Check regularly on guests waiting to be seated and keep them informed that tables are being prepared.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Shut down the podium and forward phones to the voice loop at the end of the shift.
