About The Position

Hemenway’s is hiring a Host to coordinate guest seating and provide fast, courteous service at its downtown Providence restaurant. The restaurant is known for fresh seafood, locally farmed produce, crafted libations, and hospitality, and is part of Newport Restaurant Group, a 100% employee-owned company. Hosts schedule reservations and parties, greet and seat guests, provide menus, answer phones, and communicate guest needs to service staff and management. The role requires a friendly, outgoing, hospitality-minded person who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment. The position pays $17–$22 per hour. A flexible schedule is required, including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for diners.
Greet guests, escort them to tables, and provide menus.
