About The Position
Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, is hiring a Host to help create an exceptional dining experience. Puckett's Pigeon Forge is a counter-service restaurant. The Host welcomes and warmly greets guests, takes orders at the front counter, and directs guests to the seating area. The Host may occasionally assist with to-go orders and answer the telephone. Requirements
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Pass the federally mandated E-Verify process.
- Communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, and guests.
- Have basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
- Possess basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Be able to stand for long periods, up to 8 hours.
- Be able to safely lift and frequently maneuver trays of food and beverages weighing up to 20–30 pounds.
- Be self-disciplined, take initiative, have leadership skills, and be outgoing.
- Have a pleasant, polite manner and a neat, clean appearance.
- Be able to multitask, handle the pressures of coordinating a wide range of activities, and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.
- Have open availability; hours vary.
Responsibilities
