About The Position

Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is hiring a Bartender to join the A. Marshall Hospitality family of restaurants. The Bartender provides friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for guests and supports the service staff by preparing and serving quality beverages promptly. Hours vary, and weekend availability is required. Pay is $7.25 per hour plus tips.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have at least 1 year of bartending experience, including beer, spirits and cocktails, and wine service.
Have reliable transportation to and from work.
Pass the federally mandated E-Verify process.
Obtain an Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) serving permit within 60 days of hire.
Have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
Have basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
Be able to stand for long periods, up to 8 hours.
Be able to safely lift and maneuver trays of food and beverages frequently weighing 20 to 30 pounds.
Be self-disciplined, take initiative, have leadership skills, and be outgoing.
Have a pleasant, polite manner and a neat, clean appearance.
Be able to multitask, solve problems, and handle the pressures of coordinating a wide range of activities.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for guests.
Support the service staff by providing quality beverages promptly.
Communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, and guests.
Handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
Coordinate multiple activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.
