About The Position

Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant in Columbia, Tennessee, is hiring a Line Cook to prepare and cook food as part of the A. Marshall Hospitality restaurant group. The role cooks meats, seafood, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products; prepares and portions ingredients before cooking; and handles additional food and plate preparation, including plating, garnishing cooked items, and preparing garnishes for hot menu items. Hours vary, and weekend availability is needed. Pay is $17–$18 per hour.

Requirements

Must pass the federally mandated E-Verify process.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Must understand the proper use and maintenance of major kitchen equipment.
Must communicate clearly and effectively with managers, kitchen personnel, and dining room personnel.
Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand for long periods, up to 8 hours.
Weekend availability is needed.

One year of experience in a similar position is preferred.

Responsibilities

Cook meats, seafood, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products.
