About The Position
The Farmer’s Daughter Restaurant at Normandy Farm Hotel & Conference Center is hiring a friendly, energetic, and welcoming Host to create a positive first impression and set the tone for guests’ dining experiences. The role involves greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and phone calls, accommodating guest requests, and maintaining an inviting host stand and lobby while working with the team to deliver exceptional hospitality. The Host must be available for at least three shifts per week, including weekday evenings and weekends. Weekday shifts are Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM–9:00 PM. Saturday shifts are 11:00 AM–4:00 PM or 4:00 PM–9:00 PM. Sunday shifts are 8:30 AM–2:00 PM, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, or 3:00 PM–9:00 PM. Availability for major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Easter, and Mother’s Day, is required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Friendly, dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and wear the required uniform.
- Have reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Applicants under 18 must have a work permit.
- Be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods and performing the physical tasks required for the role.
- Must be available for at least three shifts per week, including weekday evenings and weekends.
- Availability for major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Easter, and Mother’s Day, is required.

- Previous hosting experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and help them feel at home.
- Seat guests and provide menus while keeping the dining room running smoothly.
- Answer phone calls, assist guests, and manage reservations through OpenTable.
