About The Position
The Host is the first Team Member guests see and is responsible for welcoming guests, supporting their dining experience, and maintaining an organized and clean host area and restaurant environment. The role includes greeting and seating guests, presenting menus, communicating specials and wait times, managing the waiting list and floor plan board, and tracking table status. The Host also performs cleaning, stocking, organization, and other side work, maintains restrooms throughout the shift, organizes merchandise, follows Company policies and procedures, attends required meetings, and performs other duties as directed by management. Team Members are expected to report to work in a neat, clean uniform and maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests, present menus, and inform guests of specials.
- Treat guests in a way that ensures their satisfaction and strive to exceed their expectations.
- Take names on the waiting list and quote wait times when tables are unavailable.
- Run the floor plan board.
- Observe tables and track which are clean, dirty, or occupied.
- Clean and wipe down tables.
- Clean, organize, and stock menus in the host area.
- Complete side work, including replacing ketchup bottles, cleaning windows, and sweeping floors.
- Interact with guests as they arrive and leave to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Maintain restrooms throughout the shift, including refilling paper towels and hand soap.
- Organize merchandise.
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform and maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene.
- Maintain adherence to Company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
- Attend required meetings.
