About The Position

The Host welcomes guests and helps create a memorable dining experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The role is onsite and requires availability to work late nights and holidays. Hosts greet and escort guests to their tables, manage reservations, attend to guests’ needs throughout their dining experience, and say farewell as they leave. They also help prepare the restaurant for service by keeping the dining area clean and organized. The position involves working with a high-performing team and engaging with diverse clientele.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in a similar customer-facing position.
• Remain calm and courteous while responding to guest needs, including in challenging situations.
• Use good judgment and make concise decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Prioritize tasks, stay organized, and pay attention to detail.
• Communicate clearly and pleasantly in person and over the phone; provide legible written communication and concise directions.
• Be a helpful team player.

Responsibilities

• Courteously greet guests and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations.
• Attend to guests’ needs and help ensure their satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
• Bid guests farewell and leave a positive lasting impression.
• Prepare the restaurant for service by maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
• Communicate with guests and coworkers in person and over the phone.
• Help teammates when needed.
