About The Position

The host or hostess is the restaurant’s critical first impression and is empowered to create memorable guest experiences. The role welcomes and seats guests, supports reservation and special-function arrangements, maintains the dining room setup, and coordinates communication between shifts and management. The position is for Lions Den at The Stoneleigh, a Dallas restaurant scheduled to open May 1, 2026.

Requirements

Comprehend guest requests, memos, reservations, promotional materials, event orders, and similar written materials.
Remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
Move throughout a crowded room to seat guests, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Address customer complaints and concerns in a friendly, positive manner by listening, demonstrating empathy, and providing proactive solutions.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
Have effective verbal and written communication skills and adapt communication style to different audiences.

Responsibilities

Meet and greet guests, offer them a choice of seating, escort them to their table, and present the menu.
Read, maintain, and make daily entries in the logbook to coordinate communication between shifts and management.
Maintain proper setup of the dining room.
Receive and record reservations and make necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
