About The Position

The Server provides friendly, attentive, and timely service to guests in the den, with responsibility for delivering an excellent dining experience. The role requires knowledge of food and beverage offerings, the sequence of service, and buffet procedures, as well as the ability to answer questions about menu items and other casino functions or services. The Server takes and enters orders in the point-of-sale system, communicates special instructions to kitchen staff, delivers food and beverages, monitors guest needs, and processes guest payments. The position also includes side work, pre-bussing, maintaining clean and stocked service and dining areas, assisting fellow servers, and following departmental safety, sanitation, and appearance standards. The Server reports to the Den Supervisor.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary languages of the work location.
Knowledge of the sequence of service and buffet procedures, generally involving a minimum of one year as a bus person.
Customer-oriented.
Able to stand and remain mobile for periods of up to four hours.
Good sense of balance and ability to bend and kneel.
Ability to frequently lift bus pans and trays weighing up to 25 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, read, and write; hand-eye coordination and depth perception.
Effective verbal communication, strong math skills, and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain full knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
Ensure guests have a great dining experience by providing friendly, attentive, and timely service and keeping focus on guests throughout the shift.
Welcome and greet guests within one minute, make them feel special, and let them know you are there to take care of them.
Inform guests of specials and menu changes, answer their questions, and make genuine recommendations for beverages, appetizers, entrées, and desserts, including suggestive selling and upselling.
Take guest food and beverage orders and enter them correctly into the point-of-sale system; promptly communicate unclear orders or special instructions to cooks and follow up to ensure accuracy.
Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar in a timely manner.
Provide beverage refills, monitor guest needs and satisfaction, and respond promptly to requests.
Pre-bus tables between courses and ask guests specific questions about their experience.
Perform required side work during each shift.
Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas.
Prepare and present guest bills, accept payment, process transactions properly through the POS system, ensure required signatures are obtained, and return change promptly.
Assist other servers as needed and work as part of a team.
Thank guests for visiting and invite them to return.
Notify the supervisor on duty whenever a guest is not fully satisfied.
Follow Treasure Bay departmental safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Maintain appearance standards outlined by Treasure Bay.
Perform other duties required by management.
