About The Position

The Den Bus Person supports servers and bartenders and helps provide guests with a positive dining experience. The role includes delivering food and guest amenities, maintaining tables and water service, and communicating guest needs to the server. The position requires customer-oriented service, teamwork, knowledge of the menu and service procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary languages of the work location.
Knowledge of the sequence of service and buffet procedures, generally involving a minimum of one year of experience as a bus person.
Customer-oriented.
Ability to walk, stand, bend, read, and write; eye-to-hand coordination, depth perception, and effective verbal communication.
Ability to carry trays weighing up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain a neat appearance and act professionally when interacting with guests and delivering food.
Assist servers and bartenders.
Serve water, bread, butter, and amuse to guests seated in the restaurant.
Pre-bus and clean tables, taking plates, silverware, and beverage glasses to the dish room as needed.
Keep water glasses full and clean and set tables for the next service.
Participate in food service as a food runner and know table and seat numbers.
Attend to guest needs and communicate them to the server.
Learn the menu to help answer guest questions about the products offered.
Work collaboratively with servers, cooks, and bartenders to ensure guests have a positive experience.
Carry trays weighing up to 25 pounds.
Perform other assigned duties in a fast-paced environment.
