About The Position

The Host Person greets guests in an upbeat, friendly, warm, and courteous manner and supports reservations and guest requests at Ruth's Chris Steak House at Harrah's Las Vegas. The role uses computerized reservation and table management systems to manage incoming reservations and the venue floor, while keeping current on food and beverage venues and menus. The Host Person also assists with administrative work as directed by the venue manager and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic food and beverage products.
• Ability to perform basic or intermediate math skills.
• Ability to operate office equipment and a table management system.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests, staff, and management.
• Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.
• Nevada Health Card.
• Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) certification or training is required.

• Relevant experience in a high-quality, high-volume operation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in an upbeat, friendly, warm, and courteous manner.
• Answer incoming reservation calls and other telephone calls, and facilitate guest requests.
• Complete reservations in the computerized reservation system.
• Use the table management system to manage incoming reservations and the venue floor.
• Check availability continuously.
• Keep abreast of food and beverage venues and menus.
• Assist with daily administrative work as directed by the venue manager.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
