About The Position

The Marlin Bar Host/Hostess brings Tommy Bahama’s island spirit to the guest experience, helping every guest feel at home. The role requires knowledge of food and beverage menus and complete knowledge and application of Hospitality Standards, especially telephone etiquette and guest greetings. The Host/Hostess maintains an organized, stocked host/hostess stand, monitors restroom supplies and cleanliness, and contributes to a clean, safe, professional, upbeat team environment that supports sales and service success. Shifts are scheduled according to business needs.

Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Stand routinely for the duration of a shift.
• Safely maneuver equipment and tools including a hand cart, blenders, knives, slicers, wine keys, and other tools provided to complete the work.
• Work scheduled shifts determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Make every guest feel at home and bring the island spirit to life.
• Know all food and beverage menus.
• Apply Hospitality Standards, especially telephone etiquette and greeting guests.
• Keep host/hostess stand supplies stocked and organized.
• Monitor and stock restroom supplies and maintain restroom cleanliness.
• Participate in a team environment that promotes sales and service success.
• Help create a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
