About The Position
Black Desert Resort is seeking a Host/Hostess for Latitude, one of its food and beverage outlets. The role creates a welcoming first impression for guests and is their first point of contact when dining at the restaurant. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Host/Hostess manages reservations, greets guests, and coordinates seating to support an outstanding dining experience. The position is onsite at Black Desert Resort in Southern Utah and is year-round, full-time. The stated pay range is $15.00 per hour; individual compensation decisions may depend on a variety of factors.

Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of reservation systems and point-of-sale software.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize dining room capacity.
- Escort guests to tables and provide menus.
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to support smooth service.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting area.
- Monitor dining room activity to ensure guests are seated in a timely manner.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas before and after service.
- Follow health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide guests with information about resort amenities and dining options.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay current on service standards and procedures.
- Perform other work as assigned.
