Host/Hostess (Full Time)
About The Position
The Host/Hostess welcomes and seats guests in the dining room and handles customer service situations as they arise. The role helps create an enjoyable dining experience while maintaining a safe, clean, and neat environment. It also includes supervising dining-room food-service associates, helping train new team members, overseeing closing duties, and assisting with service as needed. The Host/Hostess works with staff from other departments during regular duties and special events, follows Company policies and food-safety procedures, and may perform other duties as assigned. The position is full time at Prospect House Art Museum in Princeton, New Jersey. The schedule is Thursday through Monday on the day shift, with evening availability required. Previous hosting experience is preferred. The fixed pay rate is $23.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly and direct them to tables based on availability or seating preferences.
- Help create an enjoyable dining experience and promote a safe, clean, and neat environment.
- Handle customer service situations as they arise.
- Supervise dining-room food-service associates to ensure customer-service, food-handling, and sanitation procedures are followed.
- Help train new food-service team members.
- Supervise closing of the assigned dining room and ensure side work and station setup are completed properly.
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergency safety procedures and help evacuate guests during emergencies.
- Assist with service, including occasional bussing and food service, while maintaining safe food-handling and sanitation standards.
- Work with staff from other departments during regular duties and special events or functions.
- Follow Company policies and procedures, including required protective equipment and safe lifting practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
