About The Position
A Bloomingdale’s Host/Hostess/Cashier is an essential part of the restaurant customer experience, welcoming guests who stop in for frozen yogurt or seating guests meeting for a meal. The role supports an exciting dining experience through stellar service, knowledge of menu selections, and awareness of store events. Bloomingdale’s restaurants feature creative culinary dishes and staff focused on providing a distinctive dining experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of related experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively and present information clearly and concisely.
- Enjoys interacting with customers.
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- May need to reach, crouch, kneel, and stoop.
- Frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and a cash register, and process register transactions.
- Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.

- Operate the register proficiently.
