About The Position

Bellini at Mr. C Coconut Grove is seeking a Host or Hostess to serve as the first point of contact for guests and help provide a friendly, welcoming dining experience. The role involves greeting guests, managing reservations and waitlists, communicating accurate wait times, escorting guests to dining and bar areas, and coordinating seating with wait staff. The Host or Hostess should have strong organizational and people skills and be available to work shifts as needed. The position requires standing and walking for extended periods and performing various physical tasks. A minimum of one year of previous work experience is required; high school or equivalent education is preferred. Competitive pay depends on experience. Requirements

Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language or languages used in the workplace.
Excellent communication skills by phone and in person.
Understanding of restaurant etiquette.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
Experience managing reservations.
Demonstrable customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
Availability to work shifts as needed.
Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift.
Knowledge of the city, particularly tourist attractions, and ability to communicate clear directions to attractions and facilities.
Auditory and visual abilities to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
Minimum of one year of previous work experience.
Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government-required licenses, certificates, or permits.
Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to Cipriani standards.
Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period.
Able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
Able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests to the venue.
Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists.
Manage reservations.
Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas.
Provide menus and announce the name of the waiter or waitress.
Greet customers upon their departure.
Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options.
Maintain a clean reception area.
Cater to guests who require extra attention, such as children and elderly guests.
Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries.
Assist wait staff as needed.
