About The Position

Candeo, a nonprofit focused on helping, supporting, and teaching people to live their best lives, is seeking a team member who is passionate and empathetic about caring for and empowering others. The Host Home Manager oversees day-to-day services in homes, with attention to clients’ health, wellness, and safety. The role maintains communication with Host Home Providers and team members, monitors service plans and related arrangements, provides direct support and advocacy to clients, and contributes to public relations. The position is full-time, 40 hours, with a hybrid work model and a stated salary of $37,699 per year.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Rehabilitation, Education, Psychology, or a related field, plus two years of experience working with people with mental health diagnoses.
One year of supervisor experience.
Valid Class D Endorsement 3 Iowa driver’s license.
Proof of 50/100/50K automobile insurance.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Ability to set appropriate staff/client boundaries.
Ability to negotiate and handle conflict as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft software and applications.
Ability to travel in counties served by Candeo.
Must be able to pass background checks.
Must possess a motor vehicle that meets required operational and maintenance guidelines in accordance with Iowa Department of Transportation motor vehicle safety standards and Candeo’s Motor Vehicle Guidelines.

Responsibilities

Maintain appropriate communication methods with Host Home Providers and team members.
Monitor and maintain service plans, contracts, referrals, and relations with clients’ families.
Provide direct support to clients.
Advocate for clients and participate in public relations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
