The Host Home Manager oversees day-to-day services provided in homes, with attention to clients’ health, wellness, and safety. The role involves communicating with Host Home Providers and team members, monitoring service plans and related arrangements, providing direct support to clients, and advocating for clients.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Rehabilitation, Education, Psychology, or a related field, plus two years of experience working with people with a mental health diagnosis.
One year of supervisor experience.
Valid Class D Endorsement 3 Iowa Driver’s License.
Proof of 50/100/50K automobile insurance.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Ability to set appropriate staff/client boundaries.
Ability to negotiate and handle conflict as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft software and applications.
Ability to travel in counties served by Candeo.
Must be able to pass background checks.
Must possess a motor vehicle that meets the required operational and maintenance guidelines in accordance with Iowa Department of Transportation motor vehicle safety standards and Candeo’s Motor Vehicle Guidelines.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain service plans, contracts, referrals, and relationships with clients’ families.
Provide direct support to clients.
Perform advocacy and public relations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
