About The Position

Cashiers/Hosts are essential front-line team members who handle transactions, provide customer service, assist guests with orders, and help ensure a smooth checkout experience. They accurately process payments, manage cash registers, answer customer inquiries, and greet and seat restaurant guests to create a positive first impression. The role supports a positive dining environment and overall restaurant operations.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide helpful information to guests.
Attention to detail when processing transactions, handling cash, and understanding table numbering.
Basic math skills for calculating transactions and providing change.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
Strong customer-service orientation, interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints effectively.
Ability to access online scheduling apps.
Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift light to moderate items.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a cashier or restaurant role is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests warmly, engage them in conversation, and maintain a cheerful demeanor.
Escort guests to their tables and accommodate special seating requests whenever possible.
Accurately process cash, credit, and debit payments.
Greet guests, answer questions about menu items, and assist with order placement.
Process orders accurately, including special requests and modifications.
Keep the cashier area organized and clean, clean menus, and manage supplies and receipts.
Perform hourly restroom checks and cleanings.
Alert management when register supplies, such as receipt paper or bags, are running low.
Assist kitchen or front-of-house staff during busy periods as needed.
