About The Position
Marin Country Club in Novato, California, is hiring a part-time Greeter/Host/Hostess for a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property organization. The role welcomes guests, escorts them to assigned tables, and helps maintain an orderly dining room and positive guest experience. The position pays $22.00–$25.00 per hour. The Greeter/Host/Hostess maintains knowledge of menu items, prices, and service procedures; supports service-area appearance and cleanliness; checks table settings before service; and assists service staff with side work, bussing, and cocktail orders. The role also communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager. The position is part of Troon Privé, Troon’s private club division. Troon Privé partners with private clubs to provide hospitality, personalized service, and member experiences, and describes a culture focused on service excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities
- Welcome each guest with a smile and friendly greeting, and escort guests to their assigned table.
- Control the flow of work in the room by seating guests in station rotation, maintaining guest lists, and following and enforcing check issue procedures.
- Remain knowledgeable about menu items, prices, and general service procedures.
- Maintain standards of appearance and cleanliness in all service areas.
- Remain visible on the dining room floor and accessible to guests, staff, and management.
- Check all tables before service to ensure proper settings.
- Assist with side work and help service staff by bussing tables and taking cocktail orders.
- Communicate guests’ requests and concerns to the department manager.
