About The Position

A five-star safari lodge near Paterson, Eastern Cape, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Hospitality Graduate for a Lodge All-Rounder role. This opportunity is suited to a recent graduate looking to gain practical experience across lodge operations, including administration, front of house, guest services, housekeeping and bar operations. The candidate should be eager to learn, have a strong work ethic and be a committed team player. The successful candidate will be required to travel between properties and work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.

Requirements

A relevant qualification in Hospitality, Tourism or a related field.
Recent graduate.
Knowledge of the OPERA system.
A valid driver’s licence is required, as the successful candidate will travel between properties.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.

Previous lodge experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with reception, check-ins, check-outs and guest enquiries.
Manage bookings, reservations and general administration.
Assist the housekeeping department with ordering supplies and conducting monthly stocktakes.
Manage bar stock and liaise directly with wine merchants.
Assist with staff rosters.
Track special rates, guest headcounts, welcome letters, auction vouchers, staff accounts and claim forms.
Conduct room checks to ensure rooms meet the required standards.
Prepare menus and coordinate breakfast and dinner setups across different venues.
Assist with housekeeping and ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean and presentable.
Assist with bar service and stock control.
Capture reservations and guest information on the OPERA system.
Provide general operational support across the lodge.
