About The Position

Shaner Hotels is seeking a friendly, service-oriented Breakfast Attendant to provide an exceptional guest experience. The position prepares, sets up, maintains, and breaks down the breakfast bar while ensuring food quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction throughout breakfast service. The attendant also welcomes and assists guests in breakfast and lobby areas, prepares and serves food, responds to guest questions and concerns, maintains assigned areas, follows hotel policies and safety procedures, assists with inventory, and provides information about local activities and services. The role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, and may include other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and coworkers.
• Friendly, professional demeanor and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow established food safety and sanitation procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for hotel guests.
• Food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, greet, and interact with guests in the breakfast and lobby areas, providing friendly and attentive service.
• Set up, maintain, replenish, and break down the breakfast bar in accordance with hotel, Shaner, and franchise standards.
• Prepare specified food items and assist with serving food to guests courteously and efficiently.
• Respond to guest questions and concerns, handle complaints professionally, and work to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, and organization throughout assigned areas.
• Follow hotel policies and procedures, including food handling, food safety, security, and workplace safety requirements.
• Follow established maintenance programs and cleaning schedules.
• Assist with inventory counts and other inventory-related duties as scheduled.
• Maintain knowledge of local activities, attractions, and services to assist guests as needed.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
