About The Position

The Hospitality Associate III serves as a liaison between patients, Food and Nutrition Services, and Nursing Services. The role attends to patient requests for meals, nourishments, and snacks; obtains patient meal orders; and ensures accurate menu modifications. The associate communicates as needed with the patient services manager, nursing, dietitian, and production staff, and cleans and sanitizes meal service areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or five years of experience in lieu of a diploma or GED.
• Two years of related experience; requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Food Handler certificate of training.
• ServSafe Allergens Essentials certificate of training within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Attend to patient requests for meals, nourishments, and snacks.
• Obtain patient meal orders.
• Make accurate menu modifications.
• Communicate with the patient services manager, nursing, dietitian, and production staff as needed.
• Clean and sanitize meal service areas.
