About The Position

The Hospital Service Technician manages medical equipment within the hospital to keep it flowing efficiently. The role supports continual improvement in the quality, reliability, and value of products and the efficiency of services. The technician maintains professional relationships with hospital staff and other personnel and serves as a subject-matter expert in customer service.

The position is full time, Sunday through Wednesday, 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., at University Medical Center of El Paso in El Paso, Texas. The technician delivers equipment to patient rooms or standby locations in patient-ready condition, communicates with clinical staff about equipment features and functionality, meets service quality standards and customer and company metrics, and picks up, cleans, and processes equipment according to company and hospital protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency off-hours as required to support a 24/7 schedule.
• Ability to lift and/or push up to 75 pounds and stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch or squat, kneel or crawl, sit, and stand for long periods.

• Prior work experience in a hospital setting preferred.

• Pick up, clean, and process equipment for patient-ready use in accordance with company and hospital protocols.
• Maintain professional relationships with hospital staff and other personnel and provide strong customer service.
