About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a part-time Hospital Phlebotomist to work at 747 Broadway, Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will provide customer service, perform specimen collections, and serve as a representative of the company. The schedule is Tuesday and Thursday, 4:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The position includes opportunities for continued growth within the organization. Pay ranges from $21.87 to $32.28 per hour, plus a third-shift differential. Offers are based on skills, relevant experience, and the applicable collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc. and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21.

Requirements

• Hold a Washington State-issued Phlebotomy license (MA-P). An application for a phlebotomy license filed with the Washington Department of Health at the time of hire may meet the license requirement in lieu of the state license.
• Be able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Be able to work independently or in a team environment.
• Be comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of experience as a phlebotomist.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing.
• Accurately and promptly enter patient information.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
