About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a part-time Hospital Phlebotomist to join its team at 747 Broadway, Seattle, Washington. The role provides skilled specimen collection and exceptional customer service to patients, while serving as a representative of the company. The position offers opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

The schedule is Tuesday and Thursday, 4:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The pay range is $21.87 to $32.28 per hour, plus a third-shift differential. Job offers are based on candidates’ skills and relevant experience and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc. and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21.

Requirements

• Washington State-issued phlebotomy license (MA-P); an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the Washington Department of Health at the time of hire may meet this requirement.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
