About The Position

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring part-time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven, Mississippi. Housekeepers may work in any location on the client’s premises and clean and maintain healthcare-campus facilities in an orderly condition. Responsibilities may vary by account according to business needs, client requirements, and applicable industry standards.

The available schedules are 1st shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM), 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM), mid shift (11:00 AM–7:30 PM or 12:00 PM–8:30 PM), and 3rd shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM). The role includes rotating weekends and occasional holidays. The hourly pay rate is $14.74, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus distributed in three installments.

Xanitos provides hospital housekeeping, patient transport, central laundry, and patient observation services. Its approach includes the patented XRO System for cleaning patient rooms and an operations management team focused on service quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent, required.
• Complete post-offer medical screening, background screening, and drug test.
• Ability to perform the physical demands described, including standing and walking; using hands and arms; frequently climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods.
• Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
• May be exposed to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the janitorial industry.

Responsibilities

• Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Sweep and/or vacuum floors.
• Dust furniture and equipment.
• Polish metalwork.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Replenish bathroom supplies.
• Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
