About The Position

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring full-time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven, Mississippi. The role cleans and maintains orderly facilities and locations throughout a healthcare campus. Housekeepers may work in any location on the client premises, and responsibilities may vary based on account needs, client requirements, and applicable industry standards. The hourly pay rate is $14.74. Available schedules are 1st shift, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, and 2nd shift, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM. The role includes rotating weekends and occasional holidays. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is distributed in three installments. Xanitos provides hospital housekeeping and related services and describes its service approach as focused on quality, including use of its patented XRO System for cleaning patient rooms. Benefits vary by location and are subject to eligibility and work-hour requirements under company policy and state laws.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Pass post-offer medical screening, background screening, and drug test.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to frequently climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
May be exposed to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Sweep and/or vacuum floors.
Dust furniture and equipment.
Polish metalwork.
Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
Replenish bathroom supplies.
Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
Perform other responsibilities as identified by Xanitos based on business necessities, client requirements, and applicable industry standards.
