About The Position

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring a part-time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeeper for the 3rd shift at UMH Sparrow in Lansing, Michigan. The role may be assigned to any location on client premises and is responsible for cleaning and maintaining orderly facilities in a health care campus. Responsibilities may vary by account according to business needs, client requirements, and applicable industry standards. The scheduled shift is 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., includes every other weekend and holiday, and offers a $3.35 shift differential. Qualified candidates may receive immediate offers.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent, required.
Post-offer medical screening, background screening, and drug test required.
Ability to perform the physical demands described, including standing and walking regularly, working while standing for long periods, and frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.
Ability to meet the role's visual requirements, with or without corrective lenses.
Possible exposure to chemicals that require special clothing or safety equipment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the janitorial industry.
Medical cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Sweep and/or vacuum floors.
Dust furniture and equipment.
Polish metalwork.
Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
Replenish bathroom supplies.
Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
