About The Position

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring a full-time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeeper for the third shift at UMH Sparrow in Lansing, Michigan. The position cleans and maintains an orderly environment at locations across a healthcare campus. Responsibilities may vary according to account needs, client requirements, and applicable industry standards. The shift runs from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., includes every other weekend and holiday, and pays $14.84 per hour plus a $3.35 shift differential. Immediate offers may be extended to qualified candidates.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent, required.
Post-offer medical screening, background screening, and drug test required.
Ability to stand and walk regularly and use hands and arms for handling and reaching.
Ability to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear as required.
Ability to work standing for long periods.
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds.
Visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
May be exposed to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the janitorial industry is a plus.
Medical cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Sweep and/or vacuum floors.
Dust furniture and equipment.
Polish metalwork.
Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
Replenish bathroom supplies.
Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
