About The Position

Responsible for cleaning clinical and non-clinical areas of the facility in accordance with departmental and hospital policy. The role also performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor and adheres to safety, sanitation, waste-handling, uniform, and personal-appearance standards. Housekeepers must report hazards and unsafe work conditions.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in housekeeping or a service-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean clinical and non-clinical areas in accordance with departmental and hospital policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation policies.
• Follow requirements for storage, handling, and disposal of regulated medical waste (RMW), hazardous materials, solid waste, and linen.
• Maintain Environmental Services uniform and personal appearance standards.
• Report hazards and unsafe work conditions.
