About The Position
Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families across Tulsa & Bixby, Oklahoma. This role offers a unique practice environment free from waiting rooms, double-booked appointments, and corporate production dashboards, allowing veterinarians to focus on providing compassionate end-of-life care. The practice is privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led, emphasizing a supportive atmosphere and explicitly stating they do not use non-compete contracts, ensuring veterinarians have career freedom. The ideal candidate is experienced in handling difficult conversations and seeks a more meaningful and less fast-paced practice compared to general or emergency veterinary medicine. This position is also suitable for doctors returning from a break or those needing to build a schedule around family commitments.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD/BVMS degree
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to Work Independently in a Mobile Environment
- Weekend Availability (Rotational)
- Ability to Lift up to 45 lbs Unassisted

Responsibilities
- Practice veterinary medicine in a mobile environment.
- Conduct in-home hospice and euthanasia appointments.
- Work independently.

- Be available for rotational weekend work.
