About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families in Omaha & Springfield, Nebraska. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice medicine without the typical constraints of a traditional veterinary clinic, such as waiting rooms, double-booked appointments, or corporate production dashboards. The focus is on providing compassionate, unhurried end-of-life care. The practice is privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led, and importantly, does not utilize non-compete contracts, allowing veterinarians career freedom. This position is ideal for experienced veterinarians looking to transition from the fast pace of general or emergency practice, those returning to work after a break, or individuals seeking to build a schedule around family life.

Requirements

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to work independently in a mobile environment
• Weekend availability (rotational)
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted
• Professional communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services for pets.
