About The Position
Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking compassionate and experienced In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families in Gresham, Milwaukie, and Beaverton, Oregon. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice veterinary medicine without the pressures of a traditional waiting room, double-booked appointments, or corporate production dashboards. The focus is on providing dedicated time and compassionate care to pets and their families during end-of-life situations. Heartstrings Pet Hospice is a privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led practice that explicitly does not use non-compete contracts, ensuring veterinarians have career freedom. The ideal candidate is adept at handling difficult conversations and finds fulfillment in providing meaningful end-of-life care, offering a welcome alternative to the fast pace of general or emergency practice. This position is also suitable for doctors returning to practice or seeking a schedule that accommodates family life.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD/BVMS degree
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to Work Independently in a Mobile Environment
- Weekend Availability (Rotational)
- Ability to Lift up to 45 lbs Unassisted
- Professional Communication Skills

Responsibilities
