About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice provides compassionate hospice and in-home euthanasia care for pets in the comfort of their homes. The veterinarian serves families in Allentown, East Stroudsburg, Bethlehem, Easton, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding metropolitan area. Visits are designed to allow time to listen, answer questions, and support families through end-of-life decisions without the pace of a traditional clinic. The role involves independent mobile practice, supported by thoughtful onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and experienced colleagues available for guidance. Schedules are flexible, with options ranging from two to five days per week and self-managed scheduling. Compensation is prorated according to schedule, with guaranteed compensation ranging from $45,000 to $140,000. Listed options include $105,000 annual salary for a five-day full-time schedule and $90,000 for a four-day full-time schedule, each with quarterly bonus opportunities. Veterinarians choose four weekend days per month rather than following a fixed weekend rotation. The employer states it does not use non-compete agreements.
