•$60,000 - $140,000•Onsite

About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring a veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and families in their homes. The role serves Kennett Square, Hamburg, Malvern, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding metropolitan area. Veterinarians practice independently while traveling to appointments, with onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and experienced colleagues available for support. The work is designed to allow time for listening, explaining options, and helping families say goodbye with dignity and peace, without the pace of a traditional clinic. Schedules are available from two to five days per week, including self-managed part-time scheduling options. Compensation varies by schedule: the posting lists $135,000 annual salary for a five-day full-time schedule, $110,000 for a four-day full-time schedule, and prorated compensation for other schedules. Guaranteed compensation ranges from $60,000 to $140,000, depending on schedule, with quarterly bonus opportunities. Weekend days are chosen by the veterinarian: four weekend days per month, rather than a fixed rotation. The position has no non-compete agreement.
