About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and their families in Kennett Square, Hamburg, Malvern, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding metropolitan area. The veterinarian will help families navigate end-of-life decisions and provide gentle, dignified care in the comfort of pets’ homes. This is independent mobile practice with a deliberately manageable number of appointments per day, allowing time to listen, explain, and support families without the pace of a traditional clinic. Veterinarians receive onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and access to experienced colleagues for ongoing support. Schedule options include five-day and four-day full-time schedules, as well as two- and three-day schedules and self-managed part-time DVM Flex-Scheduling. Compensation is prorated according to schedule, with guaranteed compensation ranging from $60,000 to $140,000. Five-day full-time compensation is $135,000 annually, and four-day full-time compensation is $110,000 annually; both include quarterly bonus opportunities. Weekend scheduling is flexible: veterinarians choose four weekend days per month.
