About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice provides compassionate hospice and in-home euthanasia care for pets in their homes. The veterinarian serves families in Allentown, East Stroudsburg, Bethlehem, Easton, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding metropolitan area. This mobile role focuses on end-of-life care, allowing time for listening, explaining care, answering difficult questions, and supporting families as they say goodbye to their pets. Veterinarians practice independently in the field with team support, onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and experienced colleagues available by phone. Schedules are available for two to five days per week, including self-managed part-time options. Compensation is prorated according to schedule, with guaranteed compensation ranging from $45,000 to $140,000. The listed options include five-day full-time at $105,000 annually and four-day full-time at $90,000 annually, both with quarterly bonus opportunities. Weekend work is arranged by the veterinarian, who chooses four weekend days per month. The company does not require non-compete agreements.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 90 pounds with assistance.
Complete license verification, a background check, and a driving record review before the start date.
